We're not suggesting that you go to KFC every night of the week (remember, you have some healthy and cheaper options available), but if you are a fan, you should make the most of this guide.

KFC free food tips

Get ready to start saving money by learning these amazing KFC hacks:

  1. Get free KFC with their app

Download the KFC app for free food! On the app, you can find the KFC Reward Arcade. By ordering through the app (or scanning your QR code when ordering in-store), you will receive an invite to play and a chance to win free food.

You can play a maximum of two times a day and you can win anything from free burgers to buckets. Sadly, you won't be able to get invites by scanning receipts anymore, nor will you get a reward for simply downloading the app.

  2. Free KFC for students

As a student, you'll want to get all of the freebies you can. So, don't miss out when you're ordering your next Boneless Banquet – you can redeem a free snack box at KFC when you spend £3 in store. What a time to be alive!

Sign up to Student Beans to redeem the discount when you next head into a branch of KFC. All you have to do is bring the student discount up and show them at the till, so make the most of it while you can and grab some tasty grub.

  3. Free KFC delivery

Just Eat and Deliveroo have previously offered KFC delivery for free (yes, you read that right), meaning you can be lazy and save money.

Keep an eye on our deals section to find out when they're doing it, although beware that the food prices may be marked up and may cost more than in branch.

We'll be promoting these offers when they're live on our Telegram channel and within our Facebook group, so make sure you're signed up. And, in the meantime, why not check out these great tips for getting free and cheap takeaways?

  4. Get 15% off KFC every time

Nobody (and we mean nobody) should have to pay full price for KFC, so keep your receipt when you visit the land of chicken and fill out a quick five-minute online survey. You'll then get a discount code which you can write on the bottom of your old receipt.

Use this at the till when ordering your next meal and your 15% will be taken off your food order. One of the terms and conditions for using the 15% off is that you must spend a minimum of £5 – but let's be real, it's easy to do.

  5. How to get the KFC secret menu

Secret combos are possibly our #1 favourite hack for great KFC like you've never tasted before.

Never thought about mixing it up? Well, there's a first time for everything. Keep in mind you have to put these secret menu items together yourself.

If you find any secret meals yourself, let us know so we can add them to the list. But, until then, try some of these secret menu combos:

    • Hot Wings and free BBQ sauce (Sticky BBQ wings)
    • Mayo Twister Wrap and fries (Gyros)
    • Flamin' Mini Wrap and Southern Rice (Spicy Chicken Burrito)
    • Fries, gravy, two slices of cheese and Popcorn Chicken (Poutine).
  6. More great KFC offers

KFC often promotes crazy good offers, so keep an eye out for these.

In the past, as well as their offer of £5.99 for a nine-piece bucket, they've included a Fillet Ricebox for £4 and a 10-piece bargain bucket for £12.99. These are often advertised online, on posters outside KFC branches and posted in our deals section by our eagle-eyed team.

Previously, we've even seen KFC launch an 80-piece bucket of chicken for just £5.99. So, if you're after deals like this, stay up to date with our Facebook page.

  7. £5.99 for 9 pieces of chicken

Chicken Tuesdays are the best Tuesdays. If you've ever left KFC hungry, out of pocket and wanting more, then this deal is definitely for you.

Occasionally, KFC launches a deal where you can get nine (yes, nine) pieces of chicken for £5.99. This is almost impossible to beat, both taste and price-wise, so it won't surprise you to learn that we highly recommend it. Since this deal isn't always available, it's best to check their website to avoid disappointment.

  8. Make your own KFC at home

Okay, we know it sounds b-o-r-i-n-g, but making your own KFC at home doesn't have to be difficult or time-consuming. Grabbing a bag of nuggets/crispy chicken and some fries from the frozen aisle won't replicate the exact same KFC taste, but it'll satisfy your cravings for well under £5.

And hey, maybe add some corn on the cob if you're feeling fancy, plus some BBQ sauce and mayo too. Or, if you're craving other takeaways but don't want to pay through the roof, you could always make your own at home.
